About jacobs farms
We are a full-scale operation with all the equipment required for land prep, seeding, spraying, harvesting, storage, and transport of our product to market. We also do much of our own equipment maintenance and repair. Our team comprises a staff with extensive skill in mechanics, engineering, welding and fabrication, and we are always seeking additional skilled workers (see careers page).
We farm both conventional and organic crops, but hope within 10 years to have converted to all organic. In 2026 we begun converting an additional 450 acres of land from conventional to organic production. It takes 3 years without chemical to be certified organic so we offer some product as transitional, meaning it has been grown without the use of chemicals but has not yet been certified organic.

3rd Generation Family-Owned Business
We are PROUD and HAPPY to be farmers. We are a multigeneration family farm. Our current operation is in Daysland, Alberta where our family has farmed for over three generations since migrating from Minnesota, though our family has been farming for generations dating back to at least the 1800s in Germany. We hope to be farming for generations to come.

Our knowledgeable staff includes Food Scientists, Agrologists, Biologists and Animal Scientists which makes our inspection and evaluation team unmatched in the industry.
